No Flowers Mahjong Supper Club - with No DOPA x Two Good Co.
Description
麻将桌上无父子
“No father and son at the mahjong table.”
Picture a back-room mahjong parlour in old Hong Kong meets a neon-lit Tokyo laneway, with In the Mood for Love playing in the background. Low light, clacking tiles, steaming bowls, and a few strangers who’ll be friends by the second round.
For one night only, Cross Paths is turning The Landing into a mahjong supper club: dinner first, then the tiles come out.
First, dinner. Choose your bowl from DOPA, Devon’s Tokyo-inspired donburi kitchen: Wagyu Beef Don, Chicken Don, Grilled King Salmon Soba Salad, or Eggplant Soba Salad (vegan option available). It’s Japanese comfort food made for good times.
Then, play. Nø Flowers, Sydney’s contemporary mahjong club, take over the tables. Never touched a tile? Perfect. Their crew will teach you, and you’ll be seated with players at your level, so total beginners and seasoned sharks can all have a good time.
And something sweet. Two Good finish things off with dessert at the table.
There’s an old Chinese saying: no father and son at the mahjong table. Once the tiles are out, nobody gets special treatment, not even family. So your colleagues, your boss, and the stranger you only met an hour ago are all fair game.
And it’s all for good. We’re hosting it at The Landing, home of Two Good Co., who help women rebuild their lives after trauma.

Absolutely. Plenty of people do, and that’s half the fun. Remember: no father and son at the table, and no strangers either.
Dietary requirements?
You’ll pick your dish when you book, and there’s a vegan option. Add any other dietaries at checkout and we’ll pass them on to the DOPA kitchen.
