***Kindly note that this walk has been designed to promote fitness and will require a moderate level of fitness to finish. We like to keep a steady to brisk pace during this hike, completing 10 kilometres in slightly over two hours. There will be some inclines, steps and elevation. Therefore, we suggest that you carefully review all event information and ensure that you can keep up with the group. If you don't engage in any physical activity during the week or lead a sedentary lifestyle, we encourage you to join on of our NEWBIE hikes***

Join us for a breathtaking adventure through Greens Bush in the Mornington National Park! Immerse yourself in the beauty of this stunning natural haven, where wildlife abounds. Spot kangaroos, echidnas, and a variety of birds as we stroll beside the serene Main Creek. As we venture deeper into the lush forest, surrounded by enchanting fern gullies and eucalypt trees. Keep your eyes peeled for koalas—we’ve seen a few in this area! With numerous trails to explore, we’ve carefully planned a beautiful route for you to enjoy.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE WALK:

WHAT TO BRING:

- Water

- Snack. Ie: Banana, high protein snack, Jam sandwich.

- Electrolyte energy drink

WHAT TO WEAR:

- A good pair of walking shoes is necessary, which could be hiking shoes or boots. It is recommended to avoid jogging runners as they may not provide enough grip, although it is not a strict requirement. No open toe shoes.

- Decent socks. Ie: a mix of wool, nylon & elastane. Non bulky (Visit hiking stores)

- Compact jacket

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

This walk is NOT suitable for children (18+), babies in carriers or for people who do not walk more than 5km’s at a time. This is a National Park, therefore no dogs or animals allowed.
