"This container pays respect to the indigenous water carrying baskets of the east coast," Zimmi Forest of Weaving Nature, NSW Northern Rivers.
There are just a couple of steps needed to transform the Bangalow palm sheath into a totally unique basket under Zimmi's guidance. The texture, colour and shapes of this material will delight you, in a workshop designed for both adults and children.Â

Zimmi Forest is a fibre artist who has a passion for sustainability and the environment, creating works with nature, about nature and in nature. Making is an addiction that grew out of her desire to transform discarded natural materials into beautiful art and utilitarian objects. Zimmi's knowledge and passion is for foraging, making and teaching all things fibre-based. With over 40 years of teaching under her belt, her teaching skills are well-developed, relaxed and comprehensive.
