There are just a couple of steps needed to transform the Bangalow palm sheath into a totally unique basket under Zimmi's guidance. The texture, colour and shapes of this material will delight you, in a workshop designed for both adults and children.

INCLUSIONS: All materials and access to equipment
BRING: An apron (tea/coffee and bikkies courtesy of The Makers Shed)
AGE SUITABILITY: Participants of ages 9+ are welcome, particularly parent-and-child bookings

Zimmi Forest is a fibre artist who has a passion for sustainability and the environment, creating works with nature, about nature and in nature. Making is an addiction that grew out of her desire to transform discarded natural materials into beautiful art and utilitarian objects. Zimmi's knowledge and passion is for foraging, making and teaching all things fibre-based. With over 40 years of teaching under her belt, her teaching skills are well-developed, relaxed and comprehensive.
