Description

This intermediate craft workshop allows children and young people to learn how to upcycle old clothing into something attractive that they’ll actually use. Using simple collage and hand-sewing skills, they will take scrap fabric from old clothes and create a textile collage, then use needle and thread to stitch it into a mending patch, hanging ornament or bookmark.

For school aged children. Suitable for children and young people who can follow multi-step directions and work independently for longer periods. Must be able to use scissors proficiently. Basic sewing skills such as threading a needle and knotting thread would be useful but are not essential.
