Make a Hero! - A Character Building Workshop for D&D
Description
You've played an adventure or a few, you've had some laughs and you've made some friends, but you haven't even gotten to experience half of what collaborative roleplaying games like D&D have to offer unless you've also made your own character.
But where to start? The rules are so complex, and varied!
Even with a Players Handbook, it can be rather tiresome to get started correctly, and there's only so much that a book can teach you in making interesting characters. That's where we come in.

This is not a 'Paint & Sip'. This is a creative writing workshop set in the frame of the Dungeons & Dragons world.
At this event, we'll help you get set up for your very own adventures, with your very own character!
With us you'll:
Discover the easiest, sure-fire way to determine your character's attributes,
Adopt quick techniques for making legible shorthand notes on character abilities,
Learn how to make your character idea pop, with relatable traits and redeemable flaws,
Realise you can use the rulebook as a springboard; it's not a set of laws,
Experiment with your character ideas and explore their potential, without breaking the format of the game,
Find out which rules you need to follow, and which rules you can afford to ignore, and why,
Collect resources to return to, so you can make your own character again independently,
And leave with your very own Level 3 character, designed for compatibility with Dungeons & Dragons 5.5e, and ready to use in a Red Lion Contract adventure!
