Event description

In this workshop we’ll help you make the most of our windy Summers by building a durable kite purely from our collection a salvaged materials.

We’ll explore the properties of our materials for you to think about what would be most suitable for a kite in flight. And, most importantly, we’ll help you make a kite that is unique to your tastes – like a flying fish, bird, squid or maybe even a spaceship – whatever you’d like your kite to be, we’ll help you think of ways to make it.

If the day is windy we can even road test our builds in the safety of the outside space on our Workshops premises.

Suitable for children aged 6 to 12 years

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Children under 7 years of age or with special needs must be accompanied by an adult/carer.
