Make a Rimu Stool: Power Tools 101, The ReCreators Green Space, Saturday 3 May, 10.00 am-4.00 pm
Event description
Proudly brought to you by Auckland Council Waste Solutions!
In this workshop you will learn how to use a drill, sander and hand tools in detail. You will create, design and assemble your own functional Rimu stool.
This one-day course is a great opportunity to spend quality time in a woodworking workshop, to develop your design thinking and create functional and beautiful wood items.
Using wood off-cuts and mis-tinted paint, participants will get to give a second life to materials that may have otherwise ended up in the landfill.
This day will be about fun, sustainability and skill-building.
Note: Participants need to wear old clothing that can get paint on it and closed-toe shoes. Some work may be outdoors, please wear clothes according to the weather.
* Please note children are not able to attend with parents due to health and safety requirements.
* Please bring snacks, lunch, and a drink bottle.
