Event description

In this workshop, you will learn how to use power tools in detail and then design and assemble your own wooden whetu designs from off-cuts and reclaimed materials.

Using sandpaper and paints to decorate, this will be something that will proudly stand the test of time.

Each participant will leave with their own whetu/star.

All participants must wear covered shoes and non-flowing clothing (tight-ish!).

The workshop will provide the following:

  • Health and Safety Briefing
  • Instructions to make the star
  • Step-by-step use of all tools
  • Where to extend yourself for powertools 102
