*Please note these activities are for young people only. Parents are welcome to stay and observe. You do not need a ticket to do so, but we kindly request you let us know in advance.

About the workshop: Design your own Aussie Species Cards inspired by Australia’s and Tasmania’s native wildlife. Turn a real animal into a trading card featuring fun facts, strengths and special abilities based on its real adaptations!

What will I learn? You’ll learn how to simplify an animal into a character, create an playing/trading card layout, and combine your drawing skills,colour and information all together!

What do I need to bring? Bring a water bottle and a snack if needed. Maybe any trading cards you may have! All art materials and animal reference images will be provided.

What will I take home? You’ll take home your own completed illustrated Aussie Species Card or several cards to keep, share or use as the beginning of a larger collection.
