Background

On March 8 2024 in London and March 10 2024 in Berlin, the group Make Freedom Ring organised parallel concerts to fundraise for institutions providing humanitarian aid in Gaza. Since then we have run 20 concerts across Berlin, Manchester, Munich, Barcelona, and New York City, raising approximately £80,000 for various charities and foundations, such as Medical Aid for Palestinian, the Palestine Children's Relief Fund and Medico International.

These concerts were organized as a response to the classical music industry’s relative silence regarding the genocide in Gaza, in the hopes of not only showing support for the people of Palestine and those that are suffering, but of starting a conversation within the sector. Make Freedom Ring has mobilized musicians and artists to draw attention to the plight of Palestinians through. Please spread the word.

‘Make Freedom Ring’ has been produced by a loose collective of musicians and culture workers across London and Berlin. You can find us on Instagram @makefreedomring2024 and at makefreedomring.co.uk.

Please get in touch via on social media, by email at enquiries@makefreedomring.co.uk, or the contact option below if you would like to attend but would struggle with the ticket price (or any other enquiries)!
