Make Freedom Ring Manchester

In light of the horrifying situation ongoing in Gaza, we will be raising urgently needed funds for the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF).

Background
On March 8 in London and March 10 in Berlin, the group Make Freedom Ring organized parallel concerts to fundraise for institutions providing humanitarian aid in Gaza, as well as to generate conversation and support. In total, these two concerts raised approximately 5,500€ for the foundations Medical Aid for Palestinians and the Ghassan Abu Sittah Children’s Fund without media support or an advertising campaign. On April 5th, Make Freedom Ring ran another concert at the KühlhausBerlin, raising funds for The Palestine Children's Relief Fund.
These concerts were organized as a response to the classical music industry’s relative silence regarding the ongoing human casualties and loss of life in Gaza, in the hopes of not only showing support for the people of Palestine and those that are suffering, but of starting a conversation within the sector about this world event.
‘Make Freedom Ring’ has been produced by a loose collective of musicians and culture workers across London and Berlin. You can find us on Instagram @makefreedomring2024 and at makefreedomring.co.uk.
