Honoring womanhood and ancient textiles methodologies Artist Rosa Daniela Diaz will take Make Her on an important journey.

The slow and repetitive quality of Rosa’s practice gives time to contemplate and reflect, inviting stillness as a way to transform grief and other emotions into healing.

Rosa Daniela invites you into the gallery to discuss her installation ‘Blood is Thicker Than Water’ followed by an introduction to her practice, different techniques and an artmaking workshop using woven looping techniques to create a woven stone.

You will have the opportunity to contribute a woven stone to the exhibition using Rosa Daniela’s mother’s stones as well as one to take home with you.

Rosa Daniela encourages you to find a small stone or small object (think fits in palm of your hand size) to create your woven stone – we will provide extra stones.
