Make it Yourself Card Printing Workshop
Event description
Learn how to create your own greetings cards using stamps with artist Valé Vincent.
In this workshop print your own cards using stamps you have created. You will create a number of stamps carved from a 10x10cm soft carve rubber block using lino tools and a kraft knife. These will be inked up using rollers and water-wash up block print inks to create a variety of designs on quality cards. Bring ideas with you or draw inspiration on the day.
Aimed at anyone aged 18 years and above.
Bookings essential as places are limited. Minimum of 4 participants for the workshop to proceed.
This course is perfect for beginners.
Price is $60 per person and includes all materials including ink, cards to print on and a block to carve., plus light refreshments.
Venue: The Locker Room at The Station Newcastle.

About your tutor:
Valé is passionate about printmaking with a focus on lino printing, collagraphy, solar plate etching, Tetra Pak printing and fabric screen printing. Valé holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts majoring in printmaking. She exhibits regularly and has been printmaking for over 20 years. Valé is an active member at the Newcastle Printmakers Workshop and the Make Space collective in Newcastle. Valé has branched out into textile printing in recent years and often draws inspiration from her prints to incorporate them into her handmade textile creations for her local business Inknot.
