Event description

Salvage and Stamp is a hands-on craft workshop where creativity meets sustainability! In this fun and relaxed session, participants will explore the art of stamping using found and repurposed objects—think upcycled lace, silicone trivets and everyday treasures. Guided by ceramic and visual artist Ali Sobel-Read, you'll learn how to turn these salvaged materials into unique stamps and use them to design one-of-a-kind decorative gift tags and ornaments.

Perfect for all skill levels, this workshop encourages experimentation, play, and a fresh look at ordinary items, transforming them into beautiful handmade creations for gift-giving or personal keepsakes. Feel free to bring your own upcycled treasures to test in the printing process and adorn your mini artworks with beads that will be provided.

Participants will have the opportunity to create original prints on an array of 6 ornaments or gift tags. Workshop is open to all ages but children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

NB There will be another session at 1pm - please see separate event listing to book.

Price is $45 per person.

Venue: The Locker Room at The Station Newcastle.

Bookings essential as places are limited.
