MAKE NICE

Here we go! It’s been a beat since we’ve had the likes of these three at ours and we couldn’t be more chuffed. 

There’s plenty of musical territory between Benthamism, Libby K and MSJOS, and absolutely no interest in staying neatly between the genre lines. Wonky grooves, hefty bass, unexpected turns and plenty of very good reasons to dance.

BENTHAMISM
Beats, bass and good music in pursuit of the greatest happiness of the greatest number. Since 2001, Benthamism has been gleefully blurring the lines between funk, breaks, DnB, hip-hop, house and whatever other curiosities fit the moment. A selector, storyteller and mischievous instigator, weaving carefully crafted visuals, unlikely combinations and infectious grooves with the dancefloor firmly at the centre of it all. 

LIBBY K
Libby K lives for the magic that happens when good music and good people meet on a dancefloor. Moving through house, techno and garage, her sets pair intriguing melodies with contagious grooves, a splash of sass and a playful hand on the mix. With appearances at Splore, Shipwrecked, Rhythm & Alps and AUM, she knows her way around a dancefloor.

MSJOS
Eclectic, weird and wonderfully unpredictable, MSJOS has spent the last five years bringing wide grins and bass faces to dancefloors around Aotearoa. Funk, house, glitch-hop, garage, bass, chunky techno, breaks, jungle or whatever Joss is vibing is fair game. As one particularly accurate review puts it: “Joss’ sets are like being in a toybox.”
