Make Your Noise: Making Space For Everyone
Event description
Did you know that 25% of New Zealanders still live a life of relative isolation, three years into the pandemic?
Isolation is especially prevalent among disabled and vulnerable communities, especially since the scrapping of Covid-19 safety mandates such as mask wearing and social distancing. Many people relied on these tools to remain safe while Covid-19 exists in the community.
Make Your Noise believes it’s the responsibility of producers, show makers, and venues to consider ways to remain inclusive.
“It’s up to us to consider how we can create safe events for everyone. The arts has traditionally been a space where people get to feel the most seen, and it’s important we take the lead and continue to champion the needs of those whose voices need to be heard.” Jamie Wise, MYN Founder
We're walking the talk by including Covid-19 safety measures at our end of the year show! So much so, that we're giving away free tickets for those who return a negative RAT.
Prove you're Covid free - and you'll get in free!
How to get a free ticket?
Easy! Just follow the steps and choose your Covid Free - Get In Free ticket. We'll ask you at the door to provide proof of your negative RAT Test (a photo will be fine) and ask you take the test no more than 24 hours before the gig.
Can I still koha?
Absolutely! And thank you for supporting Make Your Noise. Choose the "Covid Free - Koha" ticket option and choose how much you'd like to donate. We'll also be creating opportunities to koha at the gig.
Forgot to take a test?
We'll have limited RAT's available at the gig - however, once we run out we won't be able to offer entry to those who are unable to prove a RAT test has been completed.
