Event description

Are you looking for a natural, reusable, more sustainable, low cost alternative to plastic cling wrap, bags and containers to store food? It is estimated that the average family uses hundreds of meters of cling wrap, that costs $100's per year.

By using Beeswax wraps you can greatly reduce the amount of single use plastic you use and throw away. Beeswax wraps made using cotton, can be washed and reused many times.

In this 2 hour workshop you will learn:

  • What are beeswax wraps
  • The benefits of using beeswax wraps
  • About suitable fabrics
  • Where to purchase readymade wraps and ingredients
  • How to make your own!

In this workshop you will make a beeswax wrap to take home!

There is a lot to get through, so we start promptly at the time indicated

PLEASE NOTE:
1.All attendees must present their valid ticket to participate in the workshop.
2. Workshop is suitable for adults and older children (12 years+).
3. Children (12 years+) must have a ticket and be accompanied by an adult.

The Home Sustainability Program is funded by Shoalhaven City Council and workshops are offered to residents in the Shoalhaven Local Government area only. At the end of the workshop, all attendees will be asked to complete a short, anonymous, online survey. This feedback will help us plan and manage the Home Sustainability program.

If you have any questions regarding your booking please call Council Waste Services on 1300 293 111 prior to the day of the workshop.
