Become a Climate Action Fairy: Make your Own Fairy Wings, Gribblehirst Hub, Monday 25 September 1pm-4pm
Brought to you by Creative Communities and part of the Auckland Climate Festival!
Create your own fairy wings and become a climate action fairy!
In this 3 hour workshop kids will design and craft their very own fairy wings using precut laser-cut upcycled cardboard fabric offcuts and beautiful decorations. They will then transform into Climate Change Fairies.
The ReCreators helped design and make similar wings to help Auckland Council promote it's new food scraps collection service which is turning waste into renewable energy and liquid fertiliser.
We’ll be turning waste into treasure and teaching kids the importance of sustainable choices so they can inspire others to protect our planet.
All Materials Provided: We supply everything needed for the workshop, from upcycled cardboard to colourful decorations.
Join us in creating a world where creativity and sustainability unite, and where every child becomes a guardian of our planet – a true Climate Change Fairy!
When: Monday 25 September, 1pm - 4pm
Where: Gribblehirst Community Hub, 5 Cabbage Tree Swamp Drive, Sandringham, Auckland.
The ReCreators are on a mission to show the world how to reduce and reuse our natural resources. It's easy, fun, creative, and sustainable. Join us on our journey.
