You will be taken through the basics of herbal manufacturing including herbal safety, dosing, sourcing materials and herb quality.

Covering 5 different medicinal products, you will learn what herbs are appropriate in this medicinal form, how to use them, what to use them for and how to make them.  You will then split into smaller groups and have a turn at making your own take-home herbal products.

Products made include:
· Herbal tincture
· Fire cider
· Herbal tea
· Herbal balm
· Lozenge (demo only)

WHAT YOU'LL GET

• The herbal products you made during the session
• A recipe book with all recipes covered in the workshop
• Further information and resources for making the products at home

WHAT TO BRING

• Notebook and pen
• 3 clean empty jars at least 200ml capacity

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Monica and Michaela are experienced Naturopaths and Herbalists currently working at Goulds Natural Medicine in Hobart. They are both passionate about ‘home herbalism’ and empowering people to take their health into their own hands. Monica and Michaela have run various workshops around Hobart for all skill levels and they love working with beginners and experienced home herbalists alike.
