The City of PAE is excited to present its monthly workshop series titled Maker + Maker.

Maker + Maker offers a professional exchange of creative knowledge between an expert with individuals seeking new creative experiences. Focusing on the art of making, The City of PAE invites South Australia’s best makers to guide you in creating your own piece of art.

Discover the art of ancient patterns reimagined in a modern form in this hands-on workshop with Amanda, Chainmaille Weaver. Chainmaille is the intricate art of weaving jump rings into mesmerizing patterns—what once served as armour can now become bold, beautiful creations of personal expression.

With endless weaves and designs to explore, this immersive session will guide you through the foundational techniques of chainmaille. You’ll choose from two different weaves to learn and create your own unique keychain under Amanda’s expert guidance. If a particular pattern gets a bit tricky, don’t worry—you’ll be free to pivot to another and keep the creativity flowing.

Whether you're a focused maker or just curious to try something new, this workshop is a rewarding mix of challenge, fun, and artistic discovery. No prior experience is necessary—just bring a well-rested brain and your enthusiasm!
