Makers after Dark @ Makerspace Adelaide is a National Science Week Event and part of Big Science Adelaide.
People are fascinated by how things are made; we take great joy in seeing others share their passion and interests, bring joy in STEAM where science meets art.
This event will be targeted at adults as a show and tell by selected makers, who will demonstrate what is under the hood of their creations and inventions… from how you build giant smoke ring generators, to musical cosmic ray detectors and conductive thread fashion.
Using the range of sophisticated digital and analog-making resources at Makerspace’s disposal, participants will be able to go away with an artifact they have made or personalised.
The hands-on experience thus provided will give participants an insight into the expanding possibilities of new technologies and science linked to creative exuberance – and the sense of agency it can bring to a changing world.
