Making A Monster
Sticky Institute
Melbourne VIC, Australia
Description
Monsters are metaphors for real fears: society’s fears, and our own. How do we create a good monster story?
Monsters can help us reclaim cruel stereotypes, or can give a face to our own terrors. What do you want most, and why does that scare you? What do you fear most, and why does it want you?
Bookings not required. Bring some materials to take notes and sketches. While we will talk about reclaiming our personal fears as inspiration for spooky stories, we will avoid delving into traumatic experiences.
