The City of South Perth invites you to participate in this year's salon of ideas: Making Art Work. BYO questions and ideas.
Professional and emerging artists, arts scholars, creatives and our community will be able to engage with the works in our Emerging Artist Exhibition and join an open discussion about the intersection of practice and profession in the arts.
Hosted by contemporary artist and academic Mark Parfitt. You’ll also hear from:
- 2024 Emerging Artist Award judge Corine Van Hall
- Visual artist Abdul-Rahman Abdullah
- Artsource Director and CEO Peter Grant
Instead of a formal panel or lecture series, the salon of ideas invites you into the conversation. Explore the exhibited works, hear from the artists, and join the conversation about doing the work of visual and other creative arts.
This session is FREE to attend, but please register by adding a ticket to cart and 'checking out' for catering purposes.
