Book Launch: 'Making Art Work'
Event description
Join us to celebrate the launch of the Making Art Work publication, a compendium documenting the 48 projects commissioned by the IMA in 2020 in response to the pandemic. The 246 page full-colour publication collects texts, documentation, and features four tear-out posters, alongside new writing from Sophia Nampitjin Sambono, Ian Were, Sarah Werkmeister, and Yen-Rong Wong expanding on the curatorial pillars of Making Art Work.
The book will be launched by IMA Director Liz Nowell, with performances by Merinda Davies and Steven Oliver, snack packs provided by Kieron Anderson’s Yalabin Dining, and tunes to while away the afternoon in the IMA Courtyard.
Eighteen months into COVID we’ve stayed home, learned a lot, and have new appreciation for coming together while we can. This is an open invitation to come eat, drink, and be merry!
