Class Description: Explore Color Like Never Before! Dive into the fundamentals of Color Theory using the Color Wheel as your guide. This dynamic, hands-on class is packed with engaging exercises and practical applications that bring each concept to life. Students can experiment with a variety of media (excluding oil), choosing the tools that best suit their style and creativity. While color is our central focus, we’ll also unlock the secrets of strong composition—learning how it enhances not just color, but all the Elements of Art. You’ll also discover practical tools and clever tricks to elevate your artistic compositions across any medium. Get ready to mix, play, and master the art of color and design!

Instructor: Lynn Richardson is a working artist and an Instructor in the Art Departments of Park University and Metropolitan CC, spanning the last 25 years of her working career. Lynn's first career was as an International Flight Attendant, taking her all over the world. She holds an undergraduate degree in Art from UMKC, Art Certification k-12 from Avila University, and a Masters from Baker University.
Supplies: The instructor will contact registered students directly regarding materials and supplies.
Parking: Parking is available in any of the (NON-RESERVED) KCAI parking lot spaces across campus. There is also available street parking surrounding KCAI campus.
Refund: Registered participants can receive refunds to the original payment method (Studio Fee minus Humanitix Fee) up to 14 days before the first class.
