Everyone is welcome at this free event for landholders that aims to improve land management skills specific to our region.
Making Compost on Farm
David Hardwick from Soil Land Food will be teaching the basics of making and using compost on the farm. The workshop shall look at the three main ways of making compost: aerobic, verimicompost and fermentation.
Participants shall be able to join in a hands-on session of making a compost, and receive key tips and advice on machinery required when sourcing materials and making compost successfully on the farm.
Lunch is provided.
This event shall be held on a rural property. Please wear enclosed footwear and dress for conditions.
