Making Solidarities: Gender and Sexualites Activism and Research in Troubled Times

This event offers an opportunity for gender and sexuality activists and researchers to come together and thinnwith what solidarities are needed, what solidarities mean, and what they look like in increasingly troubled times.

Hosted by Dr. And Pasley at Waipapa Taumata Rau The University of Auckland, the Australasian Queer Research Network (AQuRN) and the Gender and Education journal, this one day event features opportunities for discussions as well as feature presentations from Professor EJ Renold (Manchester Metroploitan University, UK) and 2 of Gender and Education's co-Editors, A. Prof Emily Gray (Monash University, Australia) and A. Prof Jackie Ullman (Western Sydney University, Australia).

Prof. EJ Renold will present a case study from their UnboXing Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) project, “Underneath the Black Feathers,” which explores creative approaches to attuning to, animating, and amplifying LGBTQ+ inclusive RSE - this talk will be available to attend via Zoom. the rest of the event is face-to-face only.
