    Event description

Wiggly Wonders: Unearthing the Secrets of Worm Farms and the Magic of Home Composting!

This is a ticketed event. Prices: $25 Adult, $15 Concession

This event will take place Saturday 14th October 2.30-3.30pm with time for Q&A and product sales afterwards.

    Have you ever wondered...........

    • Why are worms so good for the garden?
    • I had a worm farm, but the worms died. What happened and how do I prevent this?
    • I know a little about worms or worm related products but just not sure how best to use them.
    • Can worms eat everything in my kitchen caddy?
    • Can I use the worms from my garden in the worm farm?

Here is your chance to find out!! Alison will take you through the why and the how of worm farming and show you a whole new way of making sustainable gardening work for you and your budget as we look after the environment together.

With prices going up everywhere, now is the time to arm yourself with the knowledge to make your own fertiliser from worm castings plus look at different worm-based soil conditioners that can make your organic gardening more affordable and enjoyable!

Alison is a passionate recycler and an important part of The Australian Worm Firm, which is SA owned and operated and one of Australia's biggest worm farm manufacturers and distributors across the country. The Worm Firm grows worms, makes worm castings, distributes worm liquid concentrates and soil conditioners and runs a sustainable garden centre in Smithfield, SA. We source SA locally grown products such as heirloom seeds, seedlings, native plants, organic potting mix and compost, plus reconditioned and new Aussie made garden tools.

Alison will bring the Adelaide-made and recycled plastic Worm Castle worm farm and its community of worms for viewing on the day, and you'll have the opportunity to shop from her pop-up stall afterwards!.
