At Home in Aotearoa β Community celebration
Event description
Join us for a heartwarming afternoon of stories, connection, and celebration at our At Home in Aotearoa Event!
Saturday, 8th November 2025
2:00 β 5:15pm
TOI Foundation, 121 Gill Street, New Plymouth
Whatβs happening
Enjoy inspiring stories, an uplifting talk, fun networking activities, and a lively cultural performance β all while sharing kai and community spirit.
Bring your family and children!
While adults are enjoying the talks and connection time, kids will be right next door in the same TOI Foundation space for a creative workshop β βLittle People, Big Dreams.β
Guided by artist Amna Aness and supported by Creative NZ, children will create a puzzle that tells their story β blending who they are between two worlds: Aotearoa New Zealand and their country of origin. Around 4pm, weβll all come together to connect the puzzle pieces and enjoy a mini exhibition of their creations.
Want to help out?
Weβre looking for volunteers to help on the day with setup, welcoming guests, and supporting activities β weβd love to have you join us!
Come share kai, connect, and celebrate with us!
Thanks to our sponsors Migrant Connections Taranaki, Creative NZ and Toi Foundation.
