Find out with South Australia’s latest Thinker in Residence, Dr Nonie Brennan.
In this session Dr Nonie Brennan, Senior Advisor for the Institute of Global Homelessness & former CEO of All Chicago will discuss the Making Homelessness History project
and its incredible impact to Chicago’s homelessness sector.
Working with a coalition of 91 agencies, All Chicago’s mission is to unite community and resources to provide housing solutions for thousands of people. This coalition has reduced homelessness by 25%. They have done this through emergency financial assistance, community partnerships, data analysis, training and research - all aimed at preventing and ending homelessness.
Under the leadership of Dr Nonie Brennan, All Chicago provided US$2.7 million in support to 3,185 households, including 1,350 children. An astounding 94% of clients maintained their housing and 88% of clients reported that the financial assistance they had received meant they were no longer in crisis.
