Malaria, Medicine, and Hope: Standing with Myanmar
Hosted by Virginia Haussegger AM, the panel will discuss malaria and its impact on healthcare of mothers, children and the marginalised in Myanmar, and hope for the future.
Panel Members:
Virginia Haussegger AM is a journalist, television presenter, author and 2019 ACT Australian of the Year
Prof Rose McGready is the 2026 ACT Australian of the Year for her work in migrant and refugee health on the Thai-Mynamar border
Dr Hannah Kelly is a postdoctoral scientist at ANU, whose research centres on innovative vaccine technologies for infectious diseases, in particular malaria
Dr Phyu Phyu Thin Zaw is a Myanmar Australian Fellow at the University of Melbourne and ANU, a medical doctor, and an epidemiologist.
