from a 5-star review in Jazz Journal of "Two Rivers Meet":

"The serenity sustained throughout this album is astonishing. MacFarlane and Milligan play with a tenderness and sensitivity that heals the soul”.

from a review of “Alone” (from the Scottish Jazz Space website):

“a first close listen to this beautiful album, this listener was sure her heart rate was reduced, such was its calming effect. In a world of compelling noise and complexities, music engendering tranquillity, perhaps even mindfulness, is to be welcomed”.

and, most recently, for “My Point Of View“ (on Instagram):

🎸 Malcolm MacFarlane – My Point of View (EP)

"Thoughtful, spacious, and beautifully crafted. This is jazz that breathes. You can hear the years of experience in every note, compositional, intentional, and quietly powerful without ever shouting for attention.

Enjoyed this on my morning walk in the sun today!"
