Jazz at the Steam and Whistle, Cheltenham, with rising star saxophonist and composer Mali Sheard and her quintet.

Melodic and groove-driven, Mali's music is an absorbing blend of the energy of contemporary jazz with the lyricism of folk, inspired by Brian Blade, Paul Desmond, Antônio Carlos Jobim and Laura Mvula.

"A bright, new light on the British Jazz scene...wonderful saxophone player" NIKKI YEOH, Jazz FM

Mali has appeared at Pizza Express Live, We Out Here and Love Supreme Festivals, and is currently touring with her debut album, Hayfever, featuring her quintet formed from the pioneering programme of Tomorrow's Warriors.
