Melodic and groove-driven, Mali's music is an absorbing blend of the energy of contemporary jazz with the lyricism of folk, inspired by Brian Blade, Paul Desmond, Antônio Carlos Jobim and Laura Mvula.

Mali has appeared at Pizza Express Live, We Out Here and Love Supreme Festivals, and is currently touring with her debut album, Hayfever, featuring her quintet formed from the pioneering programme of Tomorrow's Warriors.

Gigs take place at The Steam and Whistle, a beautiful Victorian pub opposite Cheltenham spa station (GL51 8NW). The pub has a purpose-built venue space that hosts a variety of music, comedy and creative arts, including Dom Joly’s monthly SpeakeaZy.
