    The Man From Snowy River

    Monday 10th to Tuesday 18th April 2023

    There is no better time to visit Corryong than during The Man from Snowy River Bush Festival, where the alpine region comes to life and unveils the history of unique bush traditions. Discover the lifestyle country folk take for granted and watch as horsemen and women chase wild horses down the mountainside in pursuit of the colt that got away.

    Day One: Monday 10th April 23

    Pick-ups commence by 07:00. After departing, we make our way to Tanilba Bay where there lies a hidden treasure. We visit Tanilba House (1831), one of the grand homes which helps form the rich fabric of the history of Port Stephens. We enjoy high tea served in the conservatory and on the veranda, followed by a history talk and tour of this recently restored, convict-built homestead. Our afternoon travels take us to the Southern Highlands. Overnight: Peppers Manor House, Sutton Forest

    Day Two: Tuesday 11th April 23

    After breakfast we start our day with a local guide onboard for our Highlights of Canberra Tour which takes in lunch at Queens Terrace Parliament House. gardens and Toowoomba. Our afternoon venture takes us through rugged alpine landscape and limestone gorges, finishing our day in Thredbo, checking in at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel

    Day Three: - Wednesday 12th April 23

    After breakfast Take yourself on a wander through the Thredbo Village. We’ll take the Kosciuszko Express Chair Lift up to Eagles Restaurant for a cuppa looking over the spectacular mountains. Lunch in the Village and a ride on the Luge!!

    Day Four: Thursday 13th April 23

    After breakfast we head over to Beechworth. Check out the Old Beechworth Gaol and have a cuppa. Enjoy some free time before we make our way to Bilson’s Brewery for tastings and lunch. We get into real Ned Kelly territory now by visiting the Ned Kelly Museum & Homestead.

    Day Five: Friday 14th April 23

    Let the festivities begin! **Man From Snowy River Festival starts today. The Man from Snowy River Bush Festival’. A unique bush gathering of mountain riders, poets, rodeo action and various horse events. We arrive in time to witness the re-enactment of Banjo Patterson’s famous poem ‘The Man from Snowy River’. After the event, we travel the short distance to Khancoban to check-in to our motel located in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains

    Day Six: Saturday 15th April 23

    **Man From Snowy River Festival

    The Man from Snowy River Challenge is second to none and a showcase event of the festival for it has something for everyone. The next two days and nights are yours to do as you please. There’s the Entertainment Marquee with the Bush Poetry Comedy Show, the Working Cattle Dog Championships – a highly competitive event that brings out the best in owners and their dogs, the Ute muster, ‘Ol Foz’ dog jump, ‘Aussie Bush Idol’ talent quest, busking competition and street markets, just to name a few.

    Day Seven: Sunday 16th April 23

    **Man From Snowy River Festival

    Witness the outstanding horsemanship and skill of today’s Australian stockmen and women. All their skills will be on display as they compete in the six gruelling preliminary events set to challenge the most skilled and professional rider and horse teams. The top ten scoring riders move forward from the preliminary events to take centre stage on Sunday and earn their place in the two final events, Paterson’s Brumby Catch and the Kosciusko Stock Saddle Buckjump.

    Day Eight: Monday 17th April 23

    Breakfast and time to check out by 08:00 as we commence our return journey! Morning tea @ Dog On The Tuckerbox. In Goulburn we visit Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum and the Goulburn Historic Waterworks. Overnight tonight @ Maclin Lodge Motel, Campbelltown.

    Includes: Breakfast, entries dinner and accommodation.

    Day Nine: Tuesday 18th April 23

    Breakfast and then time to check out around 08:15 as we head for Western Sydney. From the Country to the City for a shopping fix! HomeCo. Marsden Park. Our lunch stop will be @ Heatherbrae and drops offs should commence by 16:30.
