Man On Wire - screening

In 1974, Philippe Petit did the impossible: he secretly strung a wire between the towers of New York’s World Trade Center and walked across it, 400 metres above the ground.

Man on Wire tells the extraordinary story of how Petit and his small team planned and executed what became one of the most audacious artistic acts of the 20th century. Combining archive footage, photographs, interviews and dramatic reconstructions, the film turns an impossible dream into a gripping, often funny and deeply human story.

Winner of the Academy Award for Best Documentary, Man on Wire is a thrilling celebration of obsession, courage, friendship and the sheer audacity of imagination.
