Investment in Rangatahi pathways.

As we navigate our new world following the COVID disruption - our vision is to create a new landscape of opportunities and aspirations for our rangatahi/youth to help them navigate through change, to not only survive, but thrive.

This is a unique event brought to you for our Rangatahi, by our Rangatahi which is being launched in Ōtepoti/Dunedin, bringing together people of influence and inspiration for our rangatahi to hear and share dreams, ambitions and hopes for what pathway they can choose with a diverse lens.

Seeing is believing and makes opportunities more accessible and easier to navigate how to achieve and knowing where rangatahi can go to make magic happen when you follow your heart.

Our vision is to share our voices and experiences: "As ancestors, tupuna of tomorrow - what message would you wish to send our future"

“If you can do it, I can do it too”.

You'll hear from local rangatahi faces and advocates, doing amazing things around our city, region, nation and world and all motivated by their "Journey of Influence", in addition to an afternoon of pop up shops, expos and workshops designed specifically for our youth and the sector.

INNOV8HQ's network of Mana Rangatahi has an ambition to become a national role model for rangatahi success outcomes, inspired by collaborative relationships and initiatives.

We'll have virtual pop up shops from local Rangatahi Startups and businesses alongside expos and workshops of agencies and organisations supporting Rangatahi from all over Dunedin.

Want to know more about Mana Rangatahi movement, here's more:

Mana Rangatahi (MR) is a youth programme (aged 18-24yrs) developed in January 2020 by Heidi Renata, Co-founder and CEO of INNOV8HQ based on frameworks adapted from mātauranga Māori, critical thinking and resilience practice for the modern world of mahi. MR applies a whole-person approach focusing on re-establishing life skills and aligning these with life, career ambitions and related skill pathways.

The foundation element of the MR programme is the Ko wai au? | Who am I? framework. This deep process enables participants to unlock their cultural identity, fears, innate ambitions and natural capabilities as they consider future pathways.

Program modules enable participants to identify, design their personal brand/identity to pursue one of three pathways, including:

“Being your Own Boss” Entrepreneurship-self-employment;
“Being Career ready” employment application/ job placement
“Being curious to learn more” explores further education and training.

What’s different about Mana Rangatahi?

Program facilitation is based on real world experiences, introducing and immersing the participants in real workplace and business experiences, community projects and initiatives with local leaders and experts.
Leadership development is based on applying a tuakana-teina (older sibling - younger sibling) teacher/learning model designed by youth for youth.

How do we join or get involved, come join us on the day to learn more :)
