Overview:
The September Network Meeting will feature Standard 7 of the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement which focuses on Volunteer Recognition.
During the session we will look at the various strategies this standard provides to help understand, appreciate and acknowledge volunteer contribution, value and impact. Consider the results of the work performed by your volunteers, the value to your organisation, and also less tangible benefits such as volunteer contributions to change and innovation.
Volunteer recognition ensures that that your organisation understands the contribution made by your volunteers and that you let them know that this contribution is appreciated.
Meeting this standard assists your organisation to develop and maintain a respectful relationship with your volunteers, ensuring that volunteers are encouraged to actively participate in the business of the organisation, provide feedback and appreciate the way their work benefits your organisation.
Join us to find out what Standard 7 is all about, and what you and your organisation are doing to meet this standard. You will be invited to do a self-assessment during the session, to get an understanding of how well you are currently meeting the standard, and where there are areas for improvement.
