Managing Allergies & Intolerances in the ECEC Setting - August 2025

This workshop is focused on the importance of keeping nutrition while avoiding food reaction episodes in an early education setting.

The aim of this workshop is to give management and staff the confidence to make decisions with all attending children’s nutrition front-and-centre:

• Allergies and Intolerances basics: for background and context
• Differences and Definitions
• Dairy and Gluten: definitions, importance to a child’s nutrition, and alternatives
• Practical suggestions from a nutritionist who is also a fellow educator and cook in childcare.

This workshop is suitable for services that provide meals cooked in-house as well as home-sent (lunchboxes).

It’s 1.5 hours long with Q&A and discussions throughout, and delivered online via Google Meet. All attendants will receive a Certificate of Attendance and access to recording.

This is a great opportunity for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
