Course Overview

The first half of the day is spent getting to know the participants and discussing the workshop.

The Shared Management Model

Participants will learn about the three-phase program model. Participants will also be taught how to make their employee their own manager.

Lesson Three

Setting Goals

Participants will then use a goal setting tool in order to establish goals for the workshop. They will then learn how to use the instrument in their performance management process.

Lesson Four

Phase I (Planning)

Participants will learn how to train and coach employees to achieve their highest potential. We will also discuss how to choose the right person for the job, and establish standards.

Lesson Five

Phase II (Activation).

Participants will be able to understand the activation phase. Participants will also be taught strategies to motivate workers.

Lesson Six

Phase III Part A (Ongoing Assessment)

Management for performance requires evaluation. This session will focus on ongoing evaluation and constructive feedback.

Lesson Seven

Phase III Part B (Formal Assessment)

Next, participants will be taught about formal evaluations, such as performance reviews.

Lesson Eight

Workshop Wrap Up

Students will be able to ask questions and complete an action plan at the end of each day.
