You've built something valuable. The question is whether your legal and financial structure is set up to protect it - and what it's quietly costing you if it isn't.

This BDC Partners webinar brings together a solicitor, an accountant, and a franchise industry CEO to work through three of the most deferred and highest-stakes areas in any franchise business: structure, relationship agreements, and succession planning.

What we'll cover:

Franchisor Corporate Structures
Most franchisors start with a single company and never revisit it. In this session we'll cover why almost everyone has that structure, what it quietly exposes you to, and what a well-designed franchisor group actually looks like. We'll walk through the four principles for separating the brand from the risk, what it costs to get there - including CGT, rollovers, state duty, and the consents required - and critically, when to do it. There are trigger points and thresholds that close behind you. Waiting is almost always the more expensive option.

Relationship Agreements
A shareholder agreement governs what happens when things change between co-owners - and they always do eventually. We'll cover the key clauses that protect owners, how to manage defaults, disputes, and exits, and what a business without one looks like when a co-owner relationship breaks down.

Succession Planning
The personal documents every business owner needs - will, enduring power of attorney, advance health directive - and how they interact directly with your business structure, your partners, and your insurance. The legal framework only works if these are in place and aligned.
