Managing Business Risk Through Your Supply Chain

Event description

On Tues 21st March (5pm-7.30pm), we’ll be kicking off with our first in-person event for the year at The Generator on Madden, Auckland. The focus will be on Managing Business Risk in Your Supply Chain.

It is becoming increasingly important for businesses to address the environmental and social risks associated with their supply chains. Consumers are demanding more transparency and ethical sourcing practices, and governments are introducing regulations to address these concerns (including the proposed New Zealand Modern Slavery Act which is expected to include requirements for mandatory due diligence on supply chain actors). Sustainable procurement is one way businesses can mitigate these risks and ensure their supply chains are both environmentally and socially responsible.

We'll be discussing the evolving expectations of businesses to address modern slavery and environmental risk and the role that sustainable procurement plays in mitigating business risk.

This free event provides a unique opportunity to engage with experts in the field and learn about the latest trends and best practices in sustainable procurement, while meeting up with other business leaders facing similar challenges. We'll kick off the evening with some networking, food and drinks before diving into our panel discussion.

Our expert panel line-up will include:

  • Nick Dexter (Principal Consultant, Edge Impact with a focus on Human Rights and Modern Slavery)
  • Brad Crowley (Senior Manager - Building & Communities, New Zealand Green Building Council)
  • Juhi Shareef (Chief Responsibility Officer, Tourism Holdings Limited)
  • Tanya Harris (Head of Sustainable & Ethical Procurement, Edge Impact)

We’d love for you to come along so if you’re interested, please register by Mon 20th March.

We look forward to seeing you there!
