Event description

Mandalas

Mandalas are an ancient art form found in many cultures throughout the world. Mandalas are circular pattern designs. The artist begins in the middle and works out to the edges. Tegan has been teaching mandala drawing for 10 years and through this process has learned that mandalas are for everybody. Creating mandalas has been taught in various cultures as a technique for meditation. The single point focus helps the brain quiet and find peace. For this festival, Tegan has take her mandala course to a new level and designed a large mandala puzzle. This mandala can be arranged in infinite ways to create very different, beautiful mandalas each time. Tegan will be facilitating this FREE workshop as a group collaborative exercise to create a Mandala using the pieces of painted wood together.
