Description

Khaled, a mandol virtuoso from Bejaia, Algeria, brings the spirit of Kabyle traditions and the Mediterranean into a vibrant blend of Algerian chaabi roots and modern global sounds. Known for his warm, resonant voice and expressive musicianship, he has crafted a style that is both deeply rooted and boldly contemporary.

Shaped by Bejaia’s rich musical heritage and collaborations with artists both locally and across continents, Khaled has forged a path defined by curiosity and artistic openness. His extensive touring; from Algeria’s most celebrated festivals to CIMM Fest in Chicago, LEAF Fest in Asheville, Fusion Fest in Orlando, and Ethno gatherings in France, the USA, and Germany; reveals a musician who moves effortlessly between cultures, building a bridge between the intimate and the universal. His artistic journey has also been enriched by encounters with world‑renowned musicians and leading Algerian artists, including Marcus Miller, Chick Corea, Dhafer Youssef, Jesse Cook, Kema Baliardo, Djamel Allam, Takfarinas, Karim Tizouiar, Malika Domrane, and Akli Yahiatene; each leaving a meaningful imprint on his evolving musical identity.

Now based in Florida, Khaled continues to refine his craft through recording, touring, and exploring new musical horizons. With a magnetic stage presence and a repertoire that spans tradition and innovation, he stands as a distinctive and compelling voice on today’s global music scene.
