This annual event brings together hunters of all ages. Whether you're chasing the Heaviest Boar, aiming for the $1,000 Average Weight Prize, or helping the kids weigh in their Trout, Possum, Hare, and Rabbit.

Includes official competition entry PLUS 1 x FREE Beer + Hangi

Compete in four age-group categories across Trout, Possum, Rabbit & Hare

Limited to 200 kids' entries – register early to secure your spot!

Rabbit, Hare, Possum, Trout (children who weigh in trout must have a current fishing licence)

You must weigh in one animal from each category to be eligible for the average weight prize.

All Kids must Weigh in and Sign in at the registration point on Saturday, 30 August 2025, from 12pm to 2 pm to be

eligible for Spot Prizes.

NO sign-in will be accepted after 2pm.

COMP RULES

BOARS ONLY

Boars must have nuts in when weighed in

Minimum weight 30kg

1 x pig ONLY per hunter

All catches MUST be removed by hunters at the end of Saturday please

NO PIGS to be weighed in by children under the age of 16.

The judge's decision is final

Any child who has a trout must show their license at weigh-in

Only one animal from each category to be weighed in.

 No Pigs accepted after 3pm
