Mantra Beats

Mantra Beats returns to Raw Power Yoga, voted Brisbane's best Yoga Studio, on Saturday 15th March 2025. In this edition, DJ and Music Producer 'Energee' is collaborating with Yoga Teacher 'Simone' and Somatic Practitioner 'Irene'. Simone will facilitate Yoga stretches for warmup followed by some partner Yoga asanas for nourishing connection with the tribe.

About Simone Vivacqua (@vivacquazenflow) - With a heart full of warmth and a smile that lights up the room, Simone is a passionate yoga teacher who believes in the power of movement, mindfulness and human connection. Known for his friendly energy and uplifting classes, he creates a space where everyone feels welcome, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned yogi. Beyond the mat, Simone is a firm believer in the healing power of hugs and the magic of a supportive community. His classes blend breath, balance and a touch of playfulness, leaving you feeling refreshed, grounded and deeply connected. About Irene Barbé (@irenejbarbe) - Irene is a qualified physiotherapist and kinesiologist who integrates spirituality, somatics and bodywork to help people achieve holistic well-being. With over six years of experience in the traditional health system and an entrepreneurial spirit, she has guided hundreds of people in releasing trauma and reconnecting with their bodies. She uses dance and expression as powerful tools for self-exploration, liberation and empowerment, helping individuals connect with what is alive within them. Movement and consciousness are at the heart of her journey, her devotion and her passion in this world.

Schedule

- 6:30pm Doors open, arrive and relax

- 6:50 to 7:20pm Welcome circle

- 7:20 to 8:00pm Yoga stretches and partner Yoga asanas

- 8:00 to 8:15pm Access body's wisdom through Somatics

- 8:15 to 9:15pm Hum, chant and dance to Mantra Beats

- 9:15 to 9:30pm Closing circle followed by light refreshment.

Music

Mantra Beats is aimed at presenting meditational sounds such as 'Om' and spiritual mantras such as 'Ganeshaya Mantra', 'Gayatri Mantra', 'Hare Krishna Mahamantra', 'Mahamrityunjaya Mantra' etc. with modern dance music. These mantras have powerful vibrations and sound healing properties that many have experienced globally. Combined with Progressive House, which is best defined as journey music, we are in for a special evening. Popular House, EDM, Trance and Techno Music Producers and DJs around the world, such as Stan Kolev, Matan Caspi, Shanti People, Hilight Tribe and more, have incorporated these mantras in their music production and created heaps of amazing tracks; some of them and similar tunes will be played at 'Mantra Beats'.

The event is not about beats pushing movement, instead it is an opportunity and an invitation to listen to the powerful and healing mantras. The tracks that Energee will be playing invite a call-and-response style participation. You are welcome to hum or chant the mantras as per your comfort level while busting some dance moves on the beautiful wodden floor of Raw Power Yoga.

- Bring your water bottle and a yoga mat

- There will be light refreshment after the closing circle, please bring a sharing plate if you like

- Dance to your comfort, there are no specific moves/steps

- This event is for Adults only

- This is a clean party, please arrive free of alcohol or substance use

- Mobile DJ setup speakers, party lights (lasers and strobes) used during the dancing journey

- Please respect everyone's individual space and the group space we create together

- The organizers will be taking photos and short video clips during the event to help promote future gatherings. If you prefer not to be included in these visuals, please inform us upon your arrival.

About the Artist

This event is organised by Uri, artist name 'Energee' (@soundofenergee). Energee is a DJ and Electronic Dance Music Producer who has been DJing for more than a decade in a variety of genres and have performed all over Australia and in many cities in India. Energee produces a variety of Prog and Techno tunes that you can find on Spotify/Apple Music like Mantr XV, Slow Down, Kaallii, Jodhana and more.

Born and grew up in India, he learnt the basics of Sanskrit in high school and very connected to the rich culture of the spiritual land. He migrated to Australia almost two decades ago, Meanjin is home and very grateful to live on this land of opportunities.
