FAQs
- What happens at a Mantra Rhythm event?
Community comes together in a warm, welcoming space. We start the journey gently with quiet meditation, followed by guided mindfulness.
Then we move into more upbeat, vibrant and electric live music and chanting. Here, we encourage you to sing, dance, move your body in whatever way feels right for you.
Finally, we bring the mood back into a mellow and softer atmosphere to finish.
- What is Kirtan?
Kirtan is a form of musical meditation where sacred mantras are sung in a call and response style. It has been practiced for centuries to help people relax, relieve stress, and awaken inner peace and happiness.
- I've never done this before. Is that okay?
Absolutely. It doesn't matter if you've never meditated or attended a Kirtan before. This is for anyone seeking to relax, connect, and enjoy sacred sound.
- Is this a religious event?
Kirtan is a spiritual practice rooted in ancient tradition and is enjoyed by people of all ages and cultural backgrounds. It's about music, meditation, and connection. Everyone is welcome.
- What do I need to bring and wear?
Just yourself. Wear something comfortable and warm.
- How much does it cost?
This is a free community event. Donations are gratefully accepted and help us bring live Kirtan to more communities.
- Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Many people attend solo and leave feeling connected and uplifted.
