    Event description

Join us to see the new expanded ManuFutures facility at Deakin Waurn Ponds.

If you are interested in start-ups, many new companies have developed at ManuFutures - some developing technology from Deakin University, others coming in to take advantage of the programs and expertise on offer. Companies can access the expertise at the university and take part in business programs including the opportunity to be guided from prototyping to full production.

We will tour the facility overall hosted by Mark Curnow and Sameer Deshpande and visit BNNT Technology, one of the tenant companies developing commercial quantities of boron nitride nanotubes. This material has amazing properties when integrated into glass, metals, or plastics to name a few.

ManuFutures is Australia’s unique advanced manufacturing innovation hub, located within the heart of Deakin’s Future Economy Precinct, that helps businesses to accelerate success through its unique facilities, programs and services.

We will hear about ManuFuture's origins, successes so far and what the future holds.

Free parking on site - ManuFutures is in the NP Building on the northwest edge of Deakin's Waurn Ponds Campus. The parking area is to the left of the red marker on the aerial photo.

Tea and coffee will be provided.
