This session builds on the foundations of multi-modal communication, helping staff apply strategies flexibly across everyday routines like transitions, mealtimes, and group activities. Explore how combining methods can support learners with more complex needs, how to recognise and respond when a learner initiates communication, and how to spot (and reduce) the everyday barriers that get in the way.
