March Monthly Mingle

Join us for our Monthly Mingle on Sunday 16 March. It is an informal get-together that aims to bring people closer to their local food system and community. Monthly Mingles are an opportunity to share food, stories, and views on sustainability and our food system.

This month we are pleased to welcome Cid Riley as our guest speaker. Cid is a long-time friend the Farm. Working under the banner of Global Worming, Cid and his worms can be found in the south-east corner of the Farm. The name of his outfit makes us smile and think, but have you ever wondered what Cid means by ‘global’? He has been part of the ACT Reference Group for a Circular Economy, the brains behind the ACT Government’s Circular Economy Strategy 2023-2030. Come and hear from Cid about what a circular economy looks like, how worm-farming fits into the big picture, and ideas on how the Farm might participate.

As usual, before Cid's talk, we’ll be firing up the pizza oven and will provide pizza bases, sauce, and cheese; please bring other pizza toppings for our volunteers to prepare various options to share.
